Profile: the passionate struggle of a Montreal of Moroccan origin

Born in Rabat, Morocco, Abdel Ilah Essabbar, gradée black belt fifth dan, former member of the Moroccan national team Olympic WTF Taekwondo gold medalist and National in 1982, came to Canada in 2000. From east to west, its reputation will not to be.

In 2001, he founded the school in Montreal Olympic Champions Taekwondo which now has about eighty students, especially young people, even if the school also offers courses for adults. In 2002, he won the gold medal at the Cup Chong Lee. Then in 2003, he won his fourth dan. Which allows it to be part of the third generation of Taekwondo in Quebec, the first being represented by Master Chong Lee and second by Mr. Guy Labatt.

Since 2004, the school organizes five editions Taekwondo Tournament Greater Montreal Metropolitan quatrièeme which is the provincial level who are experiencing an unprecedented success. He also created the Canadian Association of Moroccan promoting Taekwondo. The purpose of this new association is to promote Taekwondo WT. F and increase the participation of Canada and Morocco during international sporting events.

Currently, Abdelilah Essabbar continues its path of learning dedicated to the training of youth in Taekwondo. It is also his knowledge and his discipline in the service of municipal programs to prevent violence and juvenile delinquency.

With this determination that allows him to achieve all its objectives and this passion for Taekwondo, it seems inevitable for him to promote the sport among young people worldwide and to encourage excellence among athletes who wish to make a day at the Olympic Games

The School of Champions continues to accumulate victories Located at 6400 16th Avenue, Montreal, the School of Champions Olympic Taekwondo has started its activities on 31 August 2001 under the direction of Abdelilah Essabbar, President and technical director of the school.

The school is affiliated with the Quebec Federation of Taekwondo, the Canadian Taekwondo Federation, the Pan American Taekwondo Federation and the World Taekwondo Federation.

The mission of the school is not only to create champions on the international scene, but also to accompany the athletes in an environment friendly and healthy throughout their journey.

Through the efforts of Master Abdelilah Essabbar, volunteers, employees and other assets, the school grew rapidly. This leads to its founder creates a circle of excellence consisting of students most likely to the competition. Since the school cease to win victories and has built an enviable reputation as much on the provincial and national scene.
